 January 16, 2011
I took pictures Sunday morning (at 9:18 apparently...cough cough LCM) of my dorm room as I was on my way out. I had to go home and to an emergency oral surgeon meeting because of an abscess from the wisdom teeth surgery....ick.

January 17, 2011
gettin dat puzzle done. oh yeahhh.

 January 18, 2011
My friend Krystal and I went to a Bible study tonight. And took pictures while waiting on her ride.
(happy birthday mom! :])

 January 19, 2010
My friend Laura painted my toenails MEMPHIS blue. Go Tigers!
...oh, and this is the second round. After her first attempt, it looked like a Smurf threw up all over my toes. So I made her take it off and redo it. :)

It has been a long week for me, and it's not over yet. Other than the wisdom teeth ordeal and my mom getting sick, I have enjoyed myself. Fun times with good friends. And hopefully the week will finish out strong and be even better than the beginning.

Hallelujah For the Blood of the Lamb that was Slain

January 13, 2011
Liz, the roommate, and I decorated our room! And we have verses everywhere...filling the environment with Jesus makes me happy. :)

 January 14, 2011
what I'm listening to today...

hallelujah for the blood of the Lamb that was slain
hallelujah for the blood of the Lamb that was slain
so we enter in to see your face
we enter in to see your face, O God.

Puzzles

My sister and I whipped out a 750 piece puzzle the other night. The next day I pulled out a 1000 piece, and we completed a good portion of it before we both had to leave for college the next day. I say we're pretty ballin'. But it made me think how life is like a puzzle. So many different pieces...relationships, school, leisure, work, food, religion, clothing. Even things that seem insignificant, like the weather, still effect our lives every day.
If you're anything like the Morgan sisters, you always find the edge pieces of the puzzle first and work from there. I think God is like the edge pieces of a puzzle. Everything else falls in Him. And when you have all these different pieces laying outside the edges, it gets chaotic! Some fall in the floor and the cat steps on them. Some get thrown back into the box because we just don't know what to do with them yet. But once you put the pieces within the edges, things start to make sense and fall into place. Why do we think we can organize and handle all the pieces of our lives apart from God? He is the secure foundation, the framework which we should build our lives within. Reframe your life today. Put all your pieces in the middle of God, and there you'll find your peace.

The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; he is their stronghold in time of trouble. The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him
Psalm 37:39-40

Peace and Quietness

January 8, 2011

I don't know if the meds are having an effect on me or what, but today I have been in a weird mood. At first I was fine, feeling good and happy. Then, I got really sad and just wanted to cry...even later, I DID cry, and was just feeling odd. But whatever is causing the crazy mood swings, I have decided to challenge my feelings today. Living in the Word means living by the Word. And today I want to claim PEACE, QUIETNESS, and CONFIDENCE over my life. So I am thanking Jesus for living in me and asking that His righteousness would cover my sin. That His righteousness would cover the ugly emotions I sometimes feel. And that His righteousness would bring peace.
Sometimes, as humans, our emotions get bent out of shape by silly circumstances. But when you take a step back and look at the whole picture, you see what really matters. And what really matters is carrying the name of Jesus. Whether I am in class at school, in the dorms, in my car, at the store, or at home recovering from wisdom teeth surgery, I want to carry the name which is above every name. The name that brings peace, quietness, and confidence. The powerful name of Jesus Christ.

Wisdom Teeth

January 6, 2011
Dr. Cannon performed wisdom teeth surgery on me and my sister. I sure am thankful that Jesus gave us all different gifts and talents, there's NO WAY I could be a dentist. But Cannon was great, and everything went smoothly!

January 7, 2011
Diet for the past few days and for several days to come: oats, grits, mashed potatoes, ice cream, spaghetti-o's, peaches, apple sauce, etc...

Special shout out to my mom for taking care of me and my sister! Thanks, you're the greatest! :)

...We See Your Glory...

Last night I returned home from Passion 2011:Atlanta and cannot even begin to describe what it was like. To look out across the Philips Arena and see someone directly across from me worshipping the same God I worship was mind-blowing. Sometimes I sit in my college dorm room and wonder if there is anyone else on campus who loves Jesus....and to see 22,000 college students worshipping and going after God was amazing and SO encouraging. I am still trying to process all that I learned while there, but I thank God for the mentors and spiritual leaders who were able to pour into my life over the weekend. May every student who was a part of this remember that WE ARE A CHOSEN GENERATION.

Passion 2011.
Atlanta, Georgia.
22,000 college students.
God really moved.
We are a chosen generation.
Always remember to carry the Name of Jesus wherever you go.

January 3, 2011

I was able to meet up with my sister one day at Passion. Which is amazing, considering we were 2 of 22,000. But it was good to see her.

January 4, 2011

This was my family group at Passion. We met together once or twice a day and shared what God was speaking to us and encouraged and prayed for one another. These guys are awesome!

 January 5,  2011
I will be praying for Passion:Ft. Worth (April 2011).
